Relationship Account Manager - Food Chain Job

My Midlands based client is looking for an excellent, field based, Relationship Account Manager, responsible for building and maintaining the existing customer relationships, executing campaigns throughout England, across the full spectrum of the food supply chain.

As a newly created role, the Relationship Account Manager will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining relationships with food businesses in the processing, retailing and catering sectors. You will also be responsible for:

• Working in partnership with the wider marketing team on specific programmes/ projects to be delivered to the customer base
• Communicating the marketing strategy to the customer base
• Managing the execution of specific campaigns
• The management and development of 1 direct report

Successful candidates will:

• Have food industry experience (essential)
• Hold excellent relationship/account management skills
• Hold strong, sound, influencing skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be a good networker
• Have the ability to work with a range of business from farmers, to meat processors and food caterers
• Be strategic in approach
• Be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and in a home/ field based position
