An opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager within the Wells & Young’s National on Trade Sales Team, reporting into the Senior National Account Manager for the Leased & Tenanted channel. The role will require an exceptionally talented individual to manage some key Leased & Tenanted pub groups, developing and executing strategies that maximize the sales and profit opportunity for Wells and Young’s.
You will need to blend the highest standards of account management with the continued development of sound and effective long term business relationships. Your personality will be strong, positive and vibrant and you will play a key role in developing sales and relationships with key trading partners. You will also have the confidence and skills to present on a one to one basis in addition to larger groups. The role demands a highly organised, self-motivated natural team player who also has the ability to work autonomously.
Principal responsibilities for the role include:
- Account Planning, promotional planning and internal forecasting
- Meeting agreed distribution, volume and profit targets
- Monitor, analyse and report on key customer performance and integrate learning into future plans
- Identify and convert new business and NPD opportunities within the channel
- Full understanding and desire to get under the skin of the portfolio performance and what is shaping it
- Networking at all levels, both internally and externally
- Central point of contact for all account query management
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years sales experience of On Trade, the ability to interpret financial/volume reports and understand portfolio performance and a solid track record of handling challenging customer scenarios effectively and producing profitable outcomes.
