Looking for your first move into Grocery National Accounts?

This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a head office based role managing some key high street accounts and supporting a Senior National Account Manager on the major grocery multiples.

Reporting to the Trading Controller you will develop relationships with accounts cross functionally, driving sales and managing the trade promotional spend. You will also develop retailer category plans ensuring they integrate with company and sector strategy and achieve all sales ranging pricing and space objectives in accounts.

Ideal candidates will be of graduate calibre, from an FMCG background that has provided them with classical sales training and an understanding of retail. You will be looking for your first National Accounts position or be willing to make a sideways move into this exciting and expanding business. An ability to negotiate at a range of customer levels backed up with a grasp of category management is essential. Knowledge of the various retail information systems would be a distinct advantage, although training will be provided – Tescolink, Asda Retail Link, Sainsbury’s Horizon and Waitrose.com

Given the potential size of this role you will need to demonstrate exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills. Ambition and career focus are essential too. You will already be a Junior Account Manager looking for a bigger career opportunity or a Senior Territory Sales Manager/KAM looking for your first head office position.
