Job Details
Our client is a successful food manufacturer and very much a leader in their category. The business has a fantastic reputation in the industry for quality of service and their exciting product range. They supply the major retailers with some of the UK’s most loved foods.
The Role
The Commercial Executive will liaise with major retail customers and provide relevant information and support to ensure all commercial activity is communicated to relevant functions.
- Building and maintaining the relationship with the customer Maintenance of up to date market information
- Analyse internal and external sales data and present findings to Sales Director, including relevant trends
- Manage promotional activity by owning the forecast delivery and the pre and post evaluation of promotions and recommending any improvements to deliver better return on future promotional investment.
- Assisting the sales director in delivering additional sales and volume growth.
- To have a comprehensive working knowledge of pricing parameters for all product ranges and varieties, including competitors products.
- To liaise with customer facing teams with the day to day management of the account.
- Provide advice on pricing of all product ranges.
- Ensure full and accurate implementation of pricing systems. Negotiate prices, volumes and values with customer.
- Ensure cost prices are entered on system; provide written confirmation of agreed prices to customers and resolve cost price queries.
- Manage launch activity by owning forecast volume delivery and post launch evaluation.
- Assist in delivering value optimisation projects Responsible for updating the
- Activity Matrix and presenting at weekly planning meeting
- Utilise Tesco Link data and present / circulate internally as appropriate.
The Candidate
- The successful candidate will have ideally a food or fmcg commercial background.
- Communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with logical thinking skills.
- Ideally degree educated.
