National Account Manager

Salary:  40K – 45K + Car Allowance, bonus and benefits

Location:  Homebased (must be able to commute to London)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced National Account Manager to join our client who has impressive growth plans over the next 12 months.  The objective of this role will be to effectively develop and support new business and customer relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Developing new business and manage accounts within retail chains
  • Full profit and loss accountability to deliver sales and profit targets
  • Develop, agree and manage joint business plans
  • Implement all year round and seasonal plans and NPD through correct distribution, merchandising and logistical phasing.
  • Develop account plans, covering promotions, range review issues, and opportunities.
  • Creating and managing, POS activities, promotions and ensuring they are delivered to stores in line with promotional plans and implemented by merchandising team
  • Complete pricing for all customers and ensure customer system pricing alignment
  • Conducting full NPD and Seasonal Presentations to accounts to gain new listings/ incremental space and secondary sites.
  • Delivery monthly forecast for all accounts.
  • Identify sales trends and propose and deliver full promotional and in store activation plans
  • Build brand equity in stores through effective planograms, POS, briefing packs and staff training

To be considered for this National Account Manager role you must:

  • Have a proven track record in developing and maintaining new business
  • Have experience of working with large retail chains (Debenhams, Selfridges, john Lewis) and independent retailers
  • Be a confident communicator with strong negotiating skills with decision makers
  • Development and reviewing of business plans
  • Confident presentation skills at all levels to both small and larger groups
  • Self-motivated person with a ‘can do’ attitude
