We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Capability Manager (Off Trade) to drive and execute the Sales Capability National & Functional specific programmes through the co-ordination, design and delivery of sales training and coaching activity. You will champion sales training and coaching within the sales function from Senior Management through to Front Line Sales to improve skills, knowledge and behaviours surrounding functional skills. This role will require you to drive, embed and optimise commercial competencies throughout the commercial organisation.

 

What skills and qualifications will I need?

  • Secondary education to higher/A level or equivalent
  • Strong sales experience
  • FMCG background preferred
  • Commercial awareness
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience of training individuals
  • Stakeholder & project management across a wide variety of business functions
  • Ability to multi task and handle a demanding busy workload

 

What kind of responsibilities will I have?

  • Uses own skills & knowledge to identify the training and development needs within the sales function using appropriate tools & resources and communicate outputs so that a co-ordinated national & functional specific plan can be designed, executed & evaluated.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the leadership team and Front Line Sales Managers in order to develop front line sales capability against functional skills
  • Design and delivery of national sales capability initiatives
  • Manage supplier relationships where outsourced training is required.
  • Deliver sales training at leadership & FLSM meetings throughout the year to influence the desired outcomes for business goals.
  • Own, execute and lead the plan to deliver business critical training and development interventions within specific area of responsibility including specific projects.
  • Act in accordance and role model the Sales capability ethos – Prime, Intervene, Embed and Optimise
  • Utilise data to analyse and identify areas of sales underperformance with a view to creating tailored solutions to improve individual and team sales performance
  • Work in conjunction with leadership and sales capability teams to inspire & motivate performance & establish best practice that’s fit for purpose and business
  • Stay current, creative and ahead of the performance curve, internally and externally, to deliver cutting edge solutions.
  • Establish an external network to enable benchmarking and stay ahead of trends in training design and delivery.
  • Seek better ways to coach, deliver and drive sales performance
  • To be an effective and proactive team member and support colleagues where required
