I am looking for an experienced Brand Manager to join my client's growing team. With operations across 5 continents and market-leading drinks brands, this is a great opportunity to market products that are steeped in tradition and are recognised globally.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager in this autonomous role, the Brand Manager will drive awareness and revenue through creating a brand vision & strategies for growth – managing several integral brands.

Working within the UK Marketing team this role will take full accountability for key strategic brands as well as support the Marketing Manager on other leading brands.

Develop, manage and sustain the brands by understanding, anticipating and meeting consumer, shopper and customer needs.  To create brand plans that translate the Global positioning into the appropriate consumer and customer activations.

 

Key accountabilities

  • To provide on-going support in the delivery of the brand plans where required.
    • Lead the development of activation plans and agency management.
    • Lead the relationship with the Commercial teams to ensure seamless and effective execution.
    • Lead the development and implementation of the brand plans maximising consumer engagement.
    • Lead the on-going development POS material and effective ROS driving customer activity
    • Ensure brand equity is continually strengthened through all consumer touch points
  • To develop & lead key elements of the 18 month, integrated marketing activity plans and annual budgets. 
  • Manage high level of complexity & multi-tasking with through-the-line brand plans
  • Support Director of Brand Marketing in the development of brand strategy and lead key projects to achieve the most effective outcomes.


The Successful Candidate

Ideally the successful candidate be someone who can get stuck in and be flexible. The client is looking for someone not only with excellent cognitive ability, but an individual who possesses a fantastic attitude also. An individual with natural attention to detail, with an enthusiasm for making a difference, will be highly desirable characteristics.

Desired experience

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Considerable experience in a marketing management or brand management position in international FMCG company (UK alcohol industry experience would be beneficial)
  • Understanding of best practice Marketing principles and techniques.
  • Experience in managing relationships beyond direct control.
  • Proven experience to deliver extraordinary results.
  • Demonstration of ability to take global brand strategies and apply them successfully in market.
  • Demonstration of ability to communicate on many levels – up and down, internal, external and to influence and achieve results through others.
  • A knowledge / experience of customer marketing; Can lead and develop customer led marketing initiatives
  • Ability to communicate plans clearly and to the point – excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
