A well-established business with over 60 years of trading are on the outlook for an experienced Payroll person to come in to assist the Payroll Manager. My client provides food and beverage solutions designed to fit any budget in any location.

This will be a busy fast paced position servicing over 2000 employees each month across the UK so we will need a methodical, accurate person who prides themselves on getting the job done right first time!

You will be required to support and advise the employees with any enquires with regard to pay, tax and National Insurance. Processing joiners, leavers and any promotions or pay rises to ensure everyone is processed on time. There will be development of the systems they use and will require a strong working relationship with IT and your Payroll Manager to make any changes a smooth transition with no distribution to the business.

Part of your role will be handling form and returns to HMRC, pension companies, unions and court orders. Printing and processing pay slips will be a monthly task and need to be completed to a tight deadline.

Offering advice and support to Payroll Assistants, training of new joiners and covering for the Manager when required.

This role is open to experienced Payroll person with 5 years plus experience, if you have a recognised payroll UK qualification this would give you an advantage although it is not essential. I will be looking to see you have a strong understanding of your sector, can be a trainer to support others, have a logical and inquisitive mind, numerate, high level of English grammar, able to motivate and inspire others. I will also need to see you have a customer service background, work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to your work.
