Job Details

Ever thought about working for some of your favourite drinks brands, helping them grow in an ever more competitive market? Our client is a brand owner of top alcoholic drinks products including category leaders in both on and off-trade markets. They pride themselves on their fun, quirky brands and benefit from being part of a 400m Group - a privately owned FMCG holding company providing a strong financial base and central resources for four divisions. The company also have a growing presence in the UK soft drinks market with a portfolio of strong, well-known brands.

The business are now looking to recruit a Category Insights Executive to join their established alcoholic drinks team. The role will focus on the company's range of alcoholic drinks brand and will report into the Category Insights Manager. Fancy yourself as a bit of an investigator? You'll be responsible for developing and implementing effective category insight solutions based on sound consumer rationale, shopper behaviour, market trends and competitor activity. Working closely with all relevant departments including Brand Marketing and National Accounts, you will initiate Category solutions and make recommendations directly to the customer base (retailers including Top 4 Multiple Grocers). This will involve getting out and about regularly to build relationships through customer visits, providing them with the stories behind the sales.

Of graduate calibre and with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in branded FMCG food, drink or non-food, you must be naturally data literate, highly analytical and commercially aware. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate some relevant experience gained at a junior level in a previous Trade, Category, or Customer Marketing role or alternatively in Territory Field Sales. Your experience to date may have been gained within an FMCG supplier, retailer or a data/market research agency. To be successful you will need to display a confident, articulate and persuasive personality, combined with passion and a drive for success. You must be commutable to Gloucester.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a vibrant and supportive team in a role with broad business exposure, providing a sound basis from which to develop your career. If you tick the boxes - we want to hear from you!

Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes we receive. If you've not heard from us within two weeks, unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
