Due to rapid business expansion, we are currently recruiting for two Category Manager roles within our Category Development team based at our Head Office Function in Leeds. These are key roles working within a high performing team where you will have full responsibility for a specific category working on either the Tesco, or Morrisons and Waitrose accounts. You will work closely with the respective Senior Category Manager to ensure that key strategic opportunities for growth are identified and delivered for the customer.

Within this roles you will be the expert in one or more nominated categories through the utilisation of the full suite of relevant data sources, focusing on the analysis and interpretation of the latest market information and consumer/shopper trends. You will lead category change by identifying new growth opportunities, being fully aware at all times of specific retailer strategies, priorities and key objectives, aligning your own activities to these where relevant.

Creating clear direction that monitors performance of these specific plans on an ongoing basis, you will make sound recommendations as to any changes or modifications required, working collaboratively with key internal functions such as shopper marketing and merchandising, in order to develop integrated value driving initiatives. Supporting both internal and external customers with in depth category knowledge that allows them to make informed decisions which help them deliver their objectives, you will develop best category practice through sharing approaches and ideas and actively seeking ways to improve what we do and how we do it.

To be successful in these roles you will have previous category management experience working within a retailer facing role with a business related degree or equivalent. You will be an expert user of Nielsen / IRI and Kantar databases. You will be highly self motivated and results driven with the ability to deliver within timescales, whilst being an effective communicator who is capable of building strong working relationships.
