COMMERCIAL SALES MANAGER

A new and exciting role has been created in the Cotswolds working in a professional and friendly environment.  Our client is a worldwide trade-only supplier of glassware, kitchenware, wall art, candles and decorations.

A new role has arisen for a commercially minded and dynamic candidate to work with the Directors to develop their managers and manage a field and office based sales team, as well as undertaking a proactive sales role to develop their business. There will be a company car, pension and health insurance after 3 months and bonuses offered with this role.

The role will involve:
•      Working with and reporting to the Directors to develop the Management Team (5) to deliver the company’s business plan and ensure that the sales and profit targets are met.
•      Performance Management of Sales department - field and office based sales team
•     Training and supporting the sales team including conducting appraisals
•      Managing and developing relationships with new and existing clients
•      Developing a proactive sales strategy to meet company sales goals
•      Meeting clients and undertaking sales presentations
•      Negotiating contracts and managing third party service providers
•      Implementing procedures and ensuring efficiency across the board
•      Analysis and management reporting
•      Forecasting and budgeting

To be considered the candidate will:
•   Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make good commercial decisions
•   Have experience in management roles and be able to motivate a team
•   Have a proven track record building relationships through proactive sales and building new business relationships
•   Have experience of winning contracts
•   Be a good communicator with interpersonal skills
•   Be creative and able to use their own initiative
•   Be IT literate and confident in using Excel, Powerpoint and other Microsoft packages
