Part of Jing Holdings PLC, Jax Coco is a fast growing, Global soft drinks business. The company started in Hong Kong with the ambition to create the freshest and finest coconut water in Asia. That was soon accomplished and Jax Coco is now present in over 35 countries around the world. Their products have developed and the brands’ popularity has rocketed, with praise and support from countless press, magazines and celebrities.

Not only do Jax boast a premium and 100% pure coconut water but their offerings also include unique varieties of coconut water, including Jax Coco Sparkling, Jax Coco Sparkling with Calamansi, Jax Coco Kids (in a variety of flavours) and Jax Coco Coconut Oil. The brand launched in the UK in 2012 with a 330ml Tetra Pak and a 250ml designer bottle which was designed by Stella McCartney’s husband Alasdhair Willis. Further to this, Jax have now developed their own range of cocktails in conjunction with Pacha and Ibiza, and they are now on the cocktail menus of many high-profile London bars and clubs.

In accordance with their growing success in the UK, the company are now looking to appoint a General Manager/Operations Director based in their London office.  Reporting into the Global CEO, you will be responsible for expanding the current distribution network in the mass retail and food & beverage sector; developing the brand profile; manage marketing events and sales accounts. You will demonstrate your success through managing the sales team and exploring sales networks, whilst also collaborating with various channels ranging from international/local logistics companies to last mile delivery to retailer clients.

Alongside these channels you will manage the day-to-day operations in aspects of supply, inventory/warehouse/logistics, finance and accounts. The role involves day to day customer and client contact, in-depth market knowledge and the use of financial ratios - so strong commercial acumen is essential.  Moreover, managerial skills are key in the role as you will be responsible for the P+L and the administration of an office of 5.

To be successful, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the soft drink industry, with international trading exposure being desirable. If you have worked as a general manager in an on trade set up or had cross functional experience within a larger company this would be desirable due to the multi-faceted nature of the role. A MBA is preferable but a degree in Business Administration or other discipline from a top-tier UK University essential. All round commercial talent with commitment, self-discipline, common sense and a keen eye for business are ideal person qualities.  Whilst the ability to demonstrate strong relationship building, excellent influencing and negotiation skills and confidence will add to your success.
