My client are a very well known FMCG player in a fast paced category that is that forefront of the grocery sector. Having recently delivered some very exciting NPD to the market, they are now looking for an exceptional individual to join their commercial team following a number of promotions.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Lead a key retail account relationship with Tesco whilst looking to drive sales & profitablility;
  • Forecast accurately using data analysis and our systems to help hit targets;
  • Employ innovative Sales and Marketing solutions to deliver value and exceed volume targets;
  • Develop commercial solutions to issues;
  • Hold overall responsibility for your P&L and drive profitability;
  • Manage promotional planning along with the Marketing and Merchandising teams; leveraging opportunities for future growth/maximising product launches and promotional mechanics wherever possible;
  • Achieve strong, creative business negotiations with your account striving for mutual benefit;
  • Analyse large volumes of data, with ability to spot trends and use your interpretation of the numbers to create a positive outcome;
  • Present pitches to accounts, co-piloted with Marketing, to launch and push new innovation;
  • Be an expert on the store operations and activities of the retailers, manage and work in conjunction with the field based Store Impact team to deliver optimum implementation of Head Office central agreements;


Suitable candidates will be of graduate calibre with a minimum of 3 years experience in FMCG / Consumer National Accounts or within grocery buying. Sound working knowledge of P&L management and JBP planning is crucial as is highly developed commercial gravitas.
