Operating in a highly competitive category, our client is a global food and beverage business aiming to become the worldwide leader in their chosen market. With a strategic focus on strengthening their presence in stronghold markets they continue to build their business through innovation and acquisition. With a 40% UK household penetration they are both highly profitable and a well-known consumer brand.

Reporting to an Out of Home Controller, you are to take full strategic responsibility for the Independent Wholesale channel landing JBPs with customers such as Landmark and Today's Group. A highly complex role you will manage 2 direct reports responsible for calling on key cash and carry and foodservice customers at head office level. Not only this, but as the account lead for this channel you will manage the overall P&L , pricing and promotional plan. Working closely with category and customer marketing to mastermind the execution, you will be involved in top level strategic negotiations as well as directing the use of a 3rd party sales force to maximum effect.

A strong NAM, you'll need to possess considerable sales ability gained within a branded FMCG environment. You will have National Account experience managing wholesale or route to market customers combined with a strong understanding of category, budgeting and forecasting.  Assertive and challenging, you will need to thrive in a competitive environment and handle tough customer negotiations.
