The Business

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the FMCG arena, with a globally recognised FMCG meal creation specialist.

With the company going from strength to strength, through strong streamlining of product portfolio and innovative NPD, they are looking to add a National Account Director to their developing commercial structure; to help some of the companies major grocery accounts to the next level.

The Role

Reporting to the UK and Ireland Commercial Director, the role will manage the profitable growth of a portfolio of existing brands and private label products. The vision for the role is that of either a National Account Controller with experience of one or more of the top 4 grocers looking to take the step up, or an individual who wishes to further their experience at the Account Director level.

Exceptional negotiation skills are required, which will come from a strong sales background in fast moving food environment. An entrepreneurial, self-starter, who can influence at the highest of levels will be successful in this role. The role will manage a team of National Account Managers with some oversight for Category and Product Development.

The Person

Experience as a National Account Controller/Director with a successful own-label food or drinks business is essential.  Experience of putting together JBPs with major mults in a fast paced environment would be beneficial. A track record of developing current listings and gaining new listings and business would be desirable.

You must be a passionate, driven and a focussed thinker, with a high level of initiative. Furthermore have the ability to analyse and interpret market patterns, the result being an insightful individual – best placed to utilise business strengths.
