Grocery Demand Relationship Manager

Salary:  Competitive Salary & Benefits

We have a great new role for a Grocery Demand Relationship Manage to work within our Supply Chain function.  Based in our Edinburgh head quarters you will own the Off Trade short, medium and long term forecast  to ensure maximum availability of all stock keeping units whilst guaranteeing an efficient cost base.

To coordinate and influence new product development forecasting, and support long term planning and volume budget processes

What skills and qualifications will I need?
• Degree educated, or equivalent
• Forecasting experience
• Sales or supply chain experience , ideally in an FMCG environment
• Analytical skills, using a variety of data sources
• Experience of taking initiative and influencing at a senior level
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Very capable of numerical manipulation and highly analytical.
• Understanding of SAP, BW  and APO DP functionality

What kind of responsibilities will I have?

• To create the baseline Brand by Sector statistical forecast, and ensure that all macro and environmental factors have been captured and overlaid, to provide robust long term view of OFF Trade forecast.
• To work with and challenge Sales teams and Brand Units to ensure a robust forecast is submitted at SKU level.
• To validate the long term operational forecast with IRI data, market share projection and market share aspirations, and challenge Sales & Marketing Teams, to ensure volume forecast level is in line with company strategic goals.
• To lead the reconciliation of the Operational forecast with the Budget and brand plans. Undertake gap analysis and engage appropriate stakeholders to understand the differing assumptions and then to decide how this will influence the Operational forecast.
• To create and promote suitable reports to provide long term view of the forecast by Brand/Sector and to facilitate discussion on forecast with sales team.
• To work closely with Customer Marketing Managers and Innovation team to discuss and agree all NPDs and promotional volumes and ensure these are reflected in the Operational forecast.
• To support Manager in preparing material for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and ICP process, to ensure long term forecast assumptions are shared with and understood by other Business functions.
• Support Manager in budget cycle and long term planning, to ensure all macro assumptions and Brand plans are correctly captured and phased in volume provision
