Director of Client Management
- Romford, Essex

A Director of Client Management role working for Garrets International Limited in the Marine Catering Solutions industry based in Essex with International travel.

Role description

The Director of Client Management is a pivotal position for which a candidate with an analytical mind-set is required, ideally from the contract catering industry. Based in Romford, this role will involve regular International travel. The role will focus on maintaining and growing existing business relationships and supporting the team in the UK and Internationally.

Key responsibilities will be to:

• Create, own and deliver the client management strategy in conjunction with commercial team
• Develop trusted relationships within the existing client base (retention)
• Deliver the growth targets for the existing client base
• Manage the feeding rates of existing clients in conformity with the annual budget
• Manage the client reporting in close co-operation with the Manager of Client Reporting and individual client managers
• In close liaison with commercial, operational and financial colleagues to manage trials from commencement to completion to convert trials to ongoing contractual relationships
• Liaise with Finance to ensure customer compliance with payment terms and the avoidance of bad debts.
• Introduce and oversee account management disciplines
• Introduce and oversee client satisfaction surveys
• Update and take ownership of the CRM system
• Work with internal stakeholders in the UK and the Far East
• Represent Garrets within industry
• Work with the board on the development of Garrets' outsourced managed service offering, giving customer and industry feedback and monitoring competitor activity
• As a Director of Garrets, contribute both proactively and reactively to issues and opportunities within and for the business
 
Who we're looking for

Essential

• Senior client management experience.
• An analytical mindset
• Knowledge of the contract catering market, managing significant catering accounts would be of extreme interest
• Strategic approach to client management.
• Sound and proven commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate and manage complex client relationships.
• Ability to be a trusted advisor to clients
• Ability to work proactively with the commercial team colleagues to drive robust client retention and growth strategies.

Desirable

• Experience from working in a maritime services company desirable, but experience from servicing clients in service/ procurement outsourcing companies also relevant.
