Job Details

My client is looking for an experienced Marketing professional to develop plans and execute projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long term marketing strategy. Collaborating with a number of functions: Sales Managers, Communications Managers to ensure all Brands owned remain relevant for consumers nation wide and that all initiatives support the brand guidelines whilst maintaining brand reach through targeted communications.

My client is an innovative market leader within the food industry. Based in London, my client has been operating for over 30 years supplying high quality food into the industry. A fast paced and very dynamic team, the environment would appeal to creative, passionate and energetic Marketing professionals. 

 

 

THE ROLE 

 

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead brand management for all brands within the portfolio, from establishing the opportunity, to research, product development and launch
  • Be the custodian for all branded artwork; working with the Trade Marketing Manager and NPD Manager to complete all FIR updates by the end of 2014 
  • Be the guardian of all branded material; ensure Brand Guidelines are kept fully up to date and adhered to at all times, by all parts of the business
  • Research, create and execute all retail marketing plans both above and below the line, following the overall marketing strategy
  • Manage all website content ensuring it is regularly kept up to date; maintain the consumer database and create content for monthly e-newsletter to drive online traffic and sales
  • Work closely with the NPD Manager to recognise opportunities to grow the brands and develop a compelling argument to the business
  • Produce analytical reports on key trends for building customer acquisition and retention
  • Produce monthly analysis of branded sales within each channel (retail, foodservice and ingredients)
  • Work with the sales directors to forecast branded sales growth across each channel, reviewing on a quarterly basis
  • Work closely with the Trade Marketing Manager, retail colleagues and key grocery accounts, to negotiate and initiate marketing opportunities where available
  • Produce and update weekly analysis on retail sales data, provided by retail analyst, and report back to the Trade Marketing Manager and Marketing Director
  • Assist and advise the sales team with customer presentations and attend/present where required
  • Plan, implement and review consumer facing, brand social media.
  • Create a Brand communications programme for trade and consumer press 
  • Create press releases and communicate brand product information with consumer/trade press
  • Undertake press research and analysis, recommending appropriate titles to target, collating and presenting press coverage to the business.

THE PERSON 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in Brand strategy and exposure to Product, NPD, Sales, go to market strategy and insights is essential.
  • Experience in working with Trade across distribution, retail channels is highly advantageous
  • General digital marketing and social media experience is essential
  • Advantage in FMCG/Food is a plus, but not essential
  • Experience in managing a diverse range of stakeholders is essential
  • Experience in managing agencies and their performance is essential
  • Good commercial acumen and communication skills is essential
