Business Development Executive – Yorkshire Region

We have an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to join our Business-to-Business sales team. 

Sky Business is our B2B business area providing business customers with business-specific products including: Sky Base, Sky Ultimate, Sky 3D, Wifi, Sky+ HD.

The Role:

•Drive acquisitions of new customers through:
oNetworking within industry
oDetecting and converting
oProspecting, planning and forecasting
oConveying passion & knowledge of the content and brand
•Maximising revenue of territory through unlocking new sales opportunity, retention, upselling and compliance turnaround.
•Working closely with the National Sales Manager and Sales account consultant to manage a specific geographical territory
•Detect and convert sales opportunities through quality prospecting and pipelining
•Provide daily route plans and visits schedule
•Manage multiple campaigns and targets at any given time
•Ensure data captured and administration is accurate
•Management of churn recovery
•Undertake compliance visits to protect revenue, customers investment and company brand during live sporting event broadcasts
•Delivering excellent customer service by understanding in detail the customer needs and helping them to deliver business through marketing, Point of Sale tools etc.
•Support wider region on campaigns
•Full lifecycle management of the sales process
•Regular reporting and analysis on performance and productivity to present in team meetings
•Use of the full sales method mix including self-sufficient lead generation, primarily face to face meetings, telephone calls and networking
•Industry networking through specialist groups and brewers etc.


The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

•Resilient and self-motivated you will have proven experience of face to face sales, ideally within field sales 
•Strong communication skills and have developed sales skills such as persuasion, influencing, consultative approach, forecasting, organisation and prioritisation.
•Basic IT Skills including Microsoft Office
•Live on or near patch 
•Be willing to work evening and weekends on a regular basis (at least one compliance visit a week which will include some overnight stays
•Able to present using PowerPoint
•Ability to work alone for extended periods of time, as well as part of a team supporting the wider region & territory members as required
