Job Details
A leading UK retailer is currently recruiting for a Senior Confectionery Buyer. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to achieve the company’s strategic development plan. This is a very exciting time to join a business with on-going success. The role is based in Central London offering a highly competitive salary and benefits.
Key Accountabilities:

Continue to grow and develop the Impulse and Confectionery Category focusing on customer needs and market trends.

Improve sales and profitability through strategic plans and category management.

Renegotiating terms with existing suppliers and development of new suppliers to maximise profitability.

Management and coaching of direct reports.

New product development
Key Skills:
-
Graduate Calibre or Equivalent

Multiple category experience with in Food Buying
-
Knowledge of food quality and manufacturing processes / costs

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Analytical and proficient in the use of Excel
