My client is a leading privately owned food business who has seen exceptional growth since their introduction to the UK market 10 years ago. Originating in France, they have 25 manufacturing sites across Europe with a £2billion turnover, £100million of which is within the UK. Their products are premium branded preserves and chilled desserts as well as own label desserts for the top 4 grocery retailers. Within the UK they have 2 manufacturing sites and a head office based in Cambridgeshire. They are extremely profitable and acquisitive always looking for new areas to develop their business in. Due to their continued growth they are now seeking 3 marketing executives for their team.

As Marketing Executive you will report into the Category Development Manager in either the branded or own label team. As well as providing administrative support for the marketing team you will also Co-ordinate ad trafficking liaising with the media agency and design agency ensuring deadlines are met. Working under the Category development manager you will Co-Ordinate projects under the direction under their direction such as leaflet development, event co-ordination and promotional campaigns. If working within the own label team you will measure the impact of Own Label marketing activities and produce timely and relevant reports. If working within the branded side of the business you will respond consumer enquiries in a timely and professional manner. As well as monitoring competitors’ marketing activities for both Ambient and Chilled markets through news coverage, advertising, on-pack promotional activities and store audits. Both role will be the first point of contact for external agencies, whether existing or prospect.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have been educated to degree level within Marketing or Business Management. My client will consider Graduates who are looking for their first role following graduating or those who have at least one years’ experience within the FMCG industry. You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be analytically minded and passionate about using data to drive decision making. Having the ability to multi-task and prioritize work-load is key as this is a fast paced environment, with it always being at the forefront of your mind that activities need to be delivered on time and within budget. Working as part of team should be something you have experience with and be able to provide examples of.
