We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Representative within the Convenience Channel.  Located in the East Midlands area with easy access to DE, NG,LE and CV postcodes.

Main purpose of this role is to
• Develop the Roberts Bakery brand across our entire region.
• Qualify all new business leads that are generated internally and externally.
• Support Roberts branded range development, ensure new product distribution and track sales.

Key Responsibilities
• Qualify all new business enquiries that are generated.
• Work with agreed KPI’s, plan to maximise time and resource available to achieve agreed targets.
• Generate a daily call report for each customer visited, so all relevant data is captured.
• Develop a working relationship with Head Office account so that maximum opportunity is taken to develop the account.  Arrange visits and update accordingly and provide a sales report.
• Assist the relevant account manager in the servicing of the Symbol groups to ensure we are maximising all accounts available for us to supply.
• Arrange as requested with new and existing store development a tasting programme to develop and promote existing and new products.
• Complete site risk assessment for all new accounts that are secured.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed, processed and communicated in time to ensure a smooth transaction from delivery to invoicing.
• Monitor competitor brand activity and track retail pricing and promotional activity and report weekly.

Key Skills and Experience
• Previous experience in a business development  role, ideally in FMCG
• Excellent planning and organising skills, with the ability to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach. 
• Experience of working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel etc)
• Ability to plan and organise own time.
