We produce, market and distribute branded frozen food products in 11 countries and we’re building momentum in Central and Eastern Europe including Russia and Turkey. Our core brands, Birds Eye, Findus (in Italy) and Iglo are synonymous with frozen food, we’re in the top 5 market leading positions in nine of our markets.

We are currently seeking exceptional talent for a number of roles across various procurement categories as a European Buyer.

The role:

  • Managing a category spend (c.€20m-€35m) you will be responsibility for a key procurement category that operates across our European business.
  • Building effective supplier and customer relationships and delivering cost savings and service improvements that support the IFG growth agenda.
  • Manage your portfolio with an end-to-end procurement process, utilising appropriate procurement tools to leverage results.
  • Define and implement current and future purchasing strategies – building a ‘Best in Class’ approach.
  • Further enhance the outstanding reputation of the Iglo Procurement team by influencing at all levels in the organisation to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • Operating across multi-functional teams providing clear leadership and drive for best in class results and execution utilising best practice procurement tools

The Person:

  • Possess relevant procurement knowledge gained in a buying role within a manufacturing / FMCG business.
  • Demonstrate experience of developing and executing clear strategic sourcing plans with a track record of savings delivery (strong bias for action).
  • A strong understating of procurement skills including a knowledge of e-sourcing, global sourcing, contract management, commoditisation and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, whilst using your own initiative to execute maximum profitability, quality and service, for example challenging the status quo by taking calculated risks and pursuing facts to deliver solutions.
  • A passionate and driven individual who is an outstanding communicator with strong negotiation, Project Management and interpersonal skills – able to build consensus and engagement with all stakeholders in the business.
  • Have role relevant qualifications, i.e. MCIPS, degree or equivalent experience.
