National Account Manager – Foodservice

An exciting opportunity has become available for a National Account Manager to join an award-winning supplier of premium, branded bakery products. The business has a glowing reputation in the industry and benefit from extensive national and independent distribution across the retail, foodservice and wholesale channels. As a business they have gone from strength-to-strength and are now exporting their brand to the USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Following on from the increased demand for their products (specifically from their foodservice customers), the business has recently created a position for an ambitious individual to manage the foodservice channel.

As National Account Manager, you will have full responsibility for the company’s entire foodservice division; this includes the day-to-day relationships with around 20 existing foodservice customers such as Brakes, 3663 Easyjet as well as a number of independent Wholesalers. In addition to the management of these accounts you will be tasked with opening new trading relationships with customers in the contract catering, independent wholesalers, independent coffee shops and travel channels. Within your first 12 months in the role you will be tasked with recruiting 2 addition people to join this channel and work directly under you.

To be considered for this role you must be an ambitious foodservice candidate with strong negotiation and face-to-face presentation skills. As for product background experience within a branded food environment is essential for this role, preferably bakery.  Given the focus on driving new business you will have a track record of opening new trading relationships with this channel. The role is home based with an expectancy for the successful candidate to be in the South East office a handful of times each month.
