Associate Director, RGM, Cold Channel - Uxbridge

What you become a part of
 
Reporting in to the Director of RGM you will build the channel strategy looking at how we execute the ABP plans by key customer/sub channel to maximize profitability. This will include managing Customer Mix/profitability, terms optimization, building detailed customer plans, monitoring channel performance (brand/pack) and building contingency plans for corrective action in conjunction with the pack, price & promotional team. You will feed commercial insights including customers corporate strategies and business needs into the pack strategy team so we have revenue plans that are ‘fit for purpose’ with the trade.
 
What to expect
 
• Creation of the Cold Channel Commercial Strategy which delivers the revenue plans set by the RGM pack strategy team.
 
• Responsible for setting and agreeing with the Cold Channel Trading Director the customer trade terms strategies and policies. Leadership of trade investment efficiency initiatives and for managing customer mix changes.
 
• Agreeing Trade Spend allocation decisions with the Cold Channel Director and their senior sales team.
 
• Setting ABP sub-channel/ Account objectives to deliver our Commercial targets.
 
• Responsible for developing the detailed cold channel price increase execution plan and value creation story.

• Responsible for agreeing the detail of the cold channel/account promotional plan based on pack strategy team guidelines.
 
• Managing on-going tracking and course correction of the ABP in the cold channel, building contingency scenario plans, the stewardship of customer exceptions to the plan and read across into other Channels or Customer Business Units. At all times aligning with the RGM pack strategy team.
 
• Responsible for feeding insight for pack opportunities from a customer perspective into both the Portfolio Development team, and the Pack teams.
 
• Accountable for leading and engaging a team, including coaching, developing and building the capability of the team.

Qualifications
 
What we expect of you
 
To be successful in this role you will need;
 
• Hands on commercial experience and have managed the planning and implementation of a complex promotionally driven commercial strategy in an FMCG environment through a grocery role in trading, RGM or pricing and promotion.

• You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, have gravitas and the ability to influence at a senior level.

• To demonstrate the ability to work cross functionally in an aligned approach.
