As one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, my client supplies an extensive range of chilled food products across several categories. The company’s core product includes chilled sandwich fillings and chilled dips. They have a glowing reputation in the industry and enjoy extensive national distribution across the major retail multiples, Second tier multiples and discount retailers. The business has recently enjoyed great success due to the launch of new products and the development of new customer accounts. Due to an internal promotion they now require a Business Unit Manager to grow and develop a number of retail accounts.

Role

As Business Unit Manager you will take direct responsibility for the Morrison’s, Iceland, Lidl and Aldi accounts. You will operate at a strategic level and be capable of identifying and then taking advantage of the numerous opportunities within these accounts. You will be working closely with the NPD team to aid in the development of leading products. As Business Unit Manager you will develop and implement a strategy that will evaluate the current business and help to develop new business opportunities.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven track record of driving long term profitable business. In addition you will need to have experience of managing retail customers at a national level. As for product background, you will ideally past experience in a short shelf life product area, ideally chilled. You will be a high achiever with a strategic and commercial mind and a proven history of increasing sales.
