The Company

Would you like to work for a global FMCG brand with a truly impressive heritage and market presence sold in over 80 countries? This organisation has a current requirement within their expanding Marketing function.

The Role

The role develops, coordinates and executes the Annual Brand Plan for the EMEA markets, facilitates their effective local implementation in conjunction with the Trade Marketing team, evaluates the results and recommends actions to achieve financial growth objectives on an ongoing basis. Working closely with the Marketing Controller to set the strategic direction of the brand to achieve both the corporate and brand objectives.

  • Production and execution of annual brand plans, using sound logic, financial analysis and insight to validate
  • To develop and protect the brand positioning within the EMEA ensuring the correct execution within each market, and the correct consumer proposition
  • Protecting and building brand equity for specified brand/sub brands
  • Contribution to strategy and vision (strategic direction)
  • Vigilant review of strategy on quarterly basis to recommend changes for the following quarter(s) based on achievements
  • To ensure consistency of comms in line with masterbrand strategy, and to work with us colleagues to this effect
  • To work with trade marketing colleagues to ensure compliancy of trade toolkit to masterbrand standards – there must be a brand sign off on the trade toolkit
  • To work collaboratively with npd/product, quality, technical & regulatory, and external production partners/colleagues to oversee new product launches, manage the brand assets in line with masterbrand strategy, and gain support for/defend any necessary changes in manufacturing process or products
  • To work with cross-functional EMEA and US colleagues (NPD, trade, sales, finance, operations) to maximise efficiency in achieving corporate and brand objectives for the brand/sub-brand
  • To work effectively with our media buying, creative, design, promotional, research, social & digital media, and PR agencies to ensure budgetary control, maximum return on investment and achievement of brand targets
  • To track the performance of brand and competitors, and make recommendations for action plans to deliver commercial and brand objectives at both a tactical and strategic level
  • To incorporate the EPD/NPD  into the brand/sub brand plans – ensuring consumer needs are met, and in line with the brand proposition and commercial objectives
  • Budgetary responsibility for execution of brand activity including but not limited to PR, Social & Digital Media, and Above The Line Media

The Candidate

You must be organised and orderly with drive and motivation. A results driven person who is focused and self-disciplined with the ability to listen to others. A true team player who is adaptable and flexible with a resilient nature.

  • Must have CIM diploma
  • Must have Marketing related degree
  • Commercial understanding
  • Financial awareness
  • Strong and confident communicator - strong written and verbal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Logical thought process and ability to confidently argue one’s corner
  • Ability to think outside the box – creative solution finder
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to influence with well reasoned logical argument
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to travel
