My client a well respected market leader is looking to strengthen its sales team with the key appointment of a Key Account Manager to join their thriving Accounts team.

Main Duties:

The primary objective of the Account Manager will be to maximise profitable sales through an existing portfolio of accounts, working collectively with Head of UK Sales.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the strategy to broaden the distribution across non-core Trade Partners.
  • To maximise sales from all accounts, achieving quarterly and annual targets in line with profit plan.
  • To effectively manage all key processes associated with Forecasting, Promotional Campaigns, Communications, New Production Introduction and Price.
  • Drive wider cross-functional team to achieve online sales and marketing objectives, ensuring regular reviews of activity and where appropriate a “test-and-learn” approach.
  • Manage budgets and work with wider cross-functional team to ensure ROI is maximised
  • Work closely with the Trade Marketing Manager and Essentials Category Manager to ensure initiatives dove-tail into our Trade Partner activity in order to avoid adversely affecting the core business.

Ideal Candidate:

  • The candidate will have at least 3 years extensive Sales and Account management experience, be exceptionally numerate and have a high level of commercial acumen.
  • Good knowledge of FMCG, Category Management, working within SDA and consumables, with evidence of driving exceptional sales growth.
  • Results-driven mentality.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the power or hand tools sector. Alternatively we would welcome applications from individuals from within the DIY sector who have experience as an Account Manager. The ideal location for the successful applicant could either be the South East, South, North East England or the Midlands.
