The Company

Are you a recent Graduate looking for your first food job? Do you have a passion for food and a flair for developing business relationships? This highly innovative food manufacturer supplying chilled food to go products to entrepreneurial high street food retailers as well as the major multiples are looking for a bright and ambitious Commercial Executive to join their growing team.

The Role

In this dynamic role you’ll support Commercial Managers with the day to day running of the commercial function, liaising with key customer contacts and seeking out opportunities to exceed budgeted and targeted sales revenue, volume and contribution. You’ll assist with the development of business plans, producing reports to monitor product performance whilst working with NPD teams and customers to deliver successful launches and promotional activities. In addition you’ll be analysing sales volumes and profit targets as well as working with Category teams to complete product recommendations for customer presentations. Finally, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance of all internal commercial documents and undertaking additional supportive tasks where required.

The Person

We are looking for an outgoing and motivated graduate with a food or business related degree, strong commercial acumen and a passion for keeping up to date with the latest food trends. Previous experience in a similar sales or commercial role within the food industry would be highly advantageous, however candidates who have completed a year’s industrial placement in a related field will be considered too. You will have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you’ll ideally have worked with high street food retail or major multiple accounts. Great project management and organisational skills are also vital as you’ll be working to deadlines where you’ll be constantly assessing priorities and resolving enquiries. Please note that candidates are required to hold a full UK driving licence.
