An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a National Account Manager for one of the UK’s leading producers of fruit and vegetables, managing the Sainsbury business valued at £60million and reporting into the Commercial Director.

Due to double digit year on year growth on the Sainsbury account, there is now a requirement for a National Account Manager, acting as one of the senior members of the commercial team, to join my clients business based in Cambridgeshire.

The main responsibilities shall include;

  • Maximising sales opportunities by identifying and securing all possible profitable opportunities and grow them to their full potential.
  • Acting as the key contact in all areas of the Sainsbury.
  • Developing category plans and advancing the business plan in conjunction with the customer account to include any promotional activity.
  • Understanding all areas of the business that impact upon sales and influence these to deliver forecasted requirements
  • Ensuring all customer needs and plans are met in line with the business and the business strategy

You must have at least 2 years’ National Account Management experience controlling Sainsbury to be considered for this position. Ideally you will have worked in the Fresh Produce industry, however those with a chilled food background will also be considered.
