Main responsibilities

As Business Development Manager reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll identify new opportunities to achieve and increase turnover and gross profit.  Tasked with devising and delivering customer business and telesales partnership plans to drive both customer and company growth, youll be door-knocking proactively every day, in addition to working in close partnership with Area Sales Managers, with the object of maximising your mutual account handling and business development skills.  Converting opportunities through customer needs analysis and then overseeing the seamless transition to an assigned Area Sales Manager, you'll also:

  • maintain a high level of competitor awareness
  • contribute to the Regional Plan
  • maintain and develop your knowledge of the Brake Bros product offering.

Ideal candidate

With an impressive new business track record, underpinned by knowledge of the foodservice sector and including a higher than average of new accounts opened, youll have the ability to maximise selling opportunities through customer needs analysis, with the resilience to keep going.  Your capacity to allocate quality time and to interpret and act on data to achieve customer solutions will complement your grasp of profit management, negotiating skills and ability to organise and self-motivate.  Other attributes will include:

  • good written and communication skills, including IT-literacy
  • exceptional time management skills
  • the ability to drive fast turnaround 
  • the organisational skills to ensure there's lots happening!

Add all this onto your can-do attitude and passion for the customer, and wed really like to hear from you.  A full UK driving licence is essential.
