The Company

Surya Foods are one of the fastest growing World Food companies in the UK. With significant growth plans factored in over the next few years, the Company are building upon their successful National Accounts function and are seeking to recruit 2 National Account Managers to work alongside the National Accounts Director and develop / manage key retail accounts.

 

The Role

 

Duties

  • Responsible for all key retail accounts as directed by the National Accounts Director
  • Ensure KPI’s are monitored on an ongoing basis
  • Strive to increase trading profit, reducing operating costs, negotiate and control expenditure against budget
  • Ensure the necessary rate of sale driving activities and promotional plans are in place
  • To ensure sales procedures and credit policies, relating to managing customer accounts, are adhered to
  • Develop profitable and sustainable sales growth year in year for key assigned accounts
  • Maintain thorough understanding of each customer including their important customers, main competitors and their strategic initiatives
  • Hold meetings with customers and purchasing department to establish the requirements and obligations of both and identify opportunities
  • Having significant remit and accountability for key account sales and  product portfolio management
  • Prepare professional business review documentation and
  • Evaluate client risk and proactively work to avoid re-tenders by strategic action
  • Research and recommend plans and programmes for procurement of goods and services taking into account supply lead times
  • Use and research available market data to identify market trends and use the information in marketing presentations to secure more and retain existing business
  • Develop existing and new customers
  • Support NPD and product diversification
  • Ensure that you provide sufficient notice to the purchasing department in order that goods are bought in a timely manner and so that the production department can meet the despatch deadlines
  • Monitor quality of purchase/products on a day-to-day basis
  • Ability to manage relationships with key national retailers on a professional basis
  • Communicate effectively with internal managers whilst fostering good relationships, meeting deadlines and follow reporting standards as laid down by your line manager
