Head of Commercial - London

This is an exceptional Senior Commercial role working for a business that has seen growth and has outstanding Retail relationships. This is a site that works collaboratively with its customers constantly looking at innovation and quality to ensure it is developing the right mix of products for the consumer.

The Head of Commercial role is responsible for the overall Commercial strategy for developing and implementing this at site. This role manages the Commercial team including Commercial Managers, Account Managers and Account Executives. It sits on the Senior Management team and contributes to the success of the site P&L through its commercial skills but also its wider business skills.

The focus of this job is to continue to develop the commercial relationship with the Key Retailers. This role works with Senior Buyers and Category Buyers to define joint business plans.
This position works closely with Development, Category, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to make sure that there is a team focused approach which ensures the customer demands are constantly met. This role facilitates experts in other functional areas to meet with retailers and develop their relationship.

Key Requirements

• Must have Pace and a "Can Do" attitude
• Operated in a Senior Commercial role dealing with Senior Buyers/Category Managers
• Experience of managing an own label account
• Influential, persuasive and negotiation skills
• Experience of Category Management
• Experience of leading and developing a Commercial Team
