Head of Retail (Concessions)

Our client prides themselves in supplying a large portfolio of product nationally across multiple groups including Ceramics,
Home and Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Accessories with a turnover circa £15m. Their Concession Channel has grown at a rapid pace with over 70 plus sites and there now exists a unique opportunity for the right individual to join and head up the Concession Operation, reporting directly to the Commercial Director.

What the job entails

As the successful candidate you will be expected to develop a long term strategy for the Concession Operation delivering competitive advantage and profitable growth. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing an experienced compact team of direct reports, finding and negotiating new sites whilst maintaining and implementing operational controls. This role is a high profile position internally as you will play a leading part in the future vision of the business. The successful candidate
will be able to influence at all levels and work cross functionally within this privately owned, friendly and well respected Company.

The successful candidate will:

-Have current experience in one of the following or similar roles: Retail
General Manager, Retail Manager, Head of Retail, Retail Director.

-Have current experience in opening new sites and handling rapid, sustained growth.

-Strong leadership skills gained through managing a team of direct reports.

-Understanding of sales, marketing, supply chain and financial management.

-Be prepared to be ‘Hands On’ when required.

-Have excellent people skills.

-A proven track record.
