Mentzendorff & Co. Ltd have been wine shippers since 1858, with a portfolio of fine wines, fortified wines and Champagnes from around the world. Each producer is family owned with wines that truly represents their origin. Mentzendorff are proud of their carefully selected agency portfolio, the core of which is their shareholders' globally renowned brands; Champagne Bollinger and The Fladgate Partnership of Taylor's, Fonseca & Croft Ports. In addition, they represent producers of fine and fortified wines throughout the Old World regions of France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, and New World regions of South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Due to an internal movement, they are seeking a Wholesale National Accounts Manager to join their highly successful on-trade team. Reporting directly into the Sales Director, this person will have full P&L responsibility for National and London wholesale accounts. A key areas of focus within this role also includes development and management of relationships with national on-trade accounts. Other responsibilities include managing the A&P budget; securing trading agreements and achieving agreed growth targets through effective management of accounts.

To be a successful applicant for this position, existing relationships within national wholesale accounts is essential and contacts with national and regional groups would be advantageous. Champagne and wine experience is not essential, however experience dealing with branded premium drinks brands will be a significant advantage. You need to be highly numerate, with experience of dealing with large budgets, but also a strong proven ability to negotiate at a high level. A strong hunter mentality is needed for this role as the ability to identify and convert new opportunities is key to this persons success.
