The role will involve expansion and development of a range of enterprise activitiesand health care distribution. You will lead a team of staff and volunteers to open retail outlets in new geographical areas, initially in South Yorkshire, to maximise opportunities for growth from  local community support to help our charity, through income generation, deliver important services.

On behalf of NCC Enterprises Ltd Board of Directors, to provide vision and leadership to take the company through an exciting phase of development meeting agreed targets.

 

 

 

To deliver agreed organizational targets including sales and surplus in support of the National Children’s Centre.

 

 To expand and develop the range of trading activities and charitable activities in Yorkshire and beyond within NCCE Ltd portfolio of income lines; Charity Furniture and Clothing Shops, Home Maintenance Service, Safety in the Home Fitting Service, Removal Service, Recycling Service (including metals, clothing, electrical)  and Health Care Distribution.

To open new retail outlets in new geographical areas, initially in South Yorkshire, and then in other areas to take advantage of local community giving and the re-use/recycling market.

To expand and develop the logistics behind NCCE Ltd in order to ensure capability to meet increased capacity and a wider geographical reach.

To identify and introduce Electronic Point of Sale software, encompassing gift aid, donor and customer base.

Through the NCC Senior Management Team, to efficiently dovetail NCCE Ltd operations with the Charity’s programmes delivery through co-locating services and giving economies of scale where possible.

To work with the Chief Executive, Trustees and Senior Managers to develop the annual corporate plan and communicate this to a wide range of stakeholders and foster a culture of continuous improvement in performance management targets

To turn no family in need away and to help those who suffer hardship in line with the charitable aims of NCC.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  1. To oversee all NCCE Ltd programmes of work and ensure correct line management arrangements are in place.
  2. To work with YCC’s Senior Management Team to support the investigation and development of new areas of work including bids for relevant tenders and negotiation of contracts.
  3. To ensure appropriate presentation and reporting on the progress of NCCE Ltd and on all matters relevant to the discharge of its responsibilities.
  4. To enforce NCCE Ltd Policies and Guidelines including Health & Safety, Safeguarding ,Equal Opportunities and Fire procedures.
  5. To line manage the Operations Manager and be responsible (with support from NCC) for all NCCE Ltd staff, volunteers, placements and associated personnel, training and development.
  6. To reinforce and strengthen the brand of NCCE Ltd and NCC in order to increase Donor and Customer base
  7. To ensure our products are  always fully represented and expertly merchandised in the shops and online
  8. Any other duties relevant to the work of NCCE Ltd and the aims of YCC.
  9. Financial Management
  10. Be responsible for the financial health of the NCCE Ltd ; ensuring that expenditure is controlled in line with budgets as approved by the Board of Directors.
  11. To ensure Gift Aid opportunities are maximized throughout the team and appropriate information transferred to NCC for HMRC claims
  12. Report on a minimum weekly basis on sales and analyze performance and manage suitable incentives.
