Would you like to work for a Market leading company who work across an array of different categories? Your role will be to support the Marketing Controller in the strategic development of the product, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of agreed strategies. Lead the development and co-ordination of the annual and long term strategic vision, and management of the budget. Implement the agreed plan and projects to deliver against business and brand targets, and where necessary recommend alternative actions to remain on track. Work with internal and external contacts to deliver the agreed plan. Assist in the development for all brand claims, policies and guidelines, and effective communication of these.

Duties and Responsibilities

• On-going management and co-ordination of consumer brand marketing plans across the 4 P’s (incorporating the brand positioning strategy, brand identity/packaging, communications strategy, range and NPD strategy, pricing strategy, promotional strategy, distribution etc).
• Take an active role in delivering the business KPI’s of turnover, volume and profitability whilst taking the lead role in the delivery of agreed brand share targets.
• Lead the product NPD stream, including generation of ideas, commercial viability, gap analysis, design and project management through to launch and marketing support.
• Project manage on-going product and packaging changes including project setup, product approval, photography and packaging designs in line with guidelines, through to market launch.
• Recommendation and implementation of appropriate retailer marketing activation including online and in store campaigns.
• Create and present brand plans and product launches pre sells to relevant internal departments and external contacts such as retail buyers including NPD, pricing and promotions and communication plans.
• Recommend and present pricing and promotional strategies for the portfolio taking into consideration market conditions and business needs, including the impact on business KPI’s and management of the national promotional plans.
• Work with the insight team to deliver appropriate consumer and shopper insight to deliver brand growth and shape future direction.
• Use category and consumer insight to provide and present professional reports and recommendations to relevant internal departments & external contacts.
• Management for the product brand portfolio performance, including product hierarchies to identify NPD and underperforming lines.
• Delivery of the marketing communications campaign to consumers and customers in line with brand proposition and objectives.
• Management of marketing expenditure to agreed budgets/targets.
• Delivery of market insight and accurate reporting of category and business performance with appropriate recommendations and reporting where appropriate.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be graduate calibre and have strong experience within the food industry with excellent project management and organisational skills. A strong track record of delivering a number of projects simultaneously to the agreed deadline and able to be creative, with a proven success in brand marketing and campaign management. You will have solid experience of using category and consumer insight data, including IRI and Kantar as well as being competent in all MS Office Packages, knowledge of SAP is advantageous. I am looking for a confident presenter with experience across a range of audiences, being able to build relationships cross functionally and demonstrate leadership. You will be analytical, with strong communication skills and self motivated. Resilient, able to negotiate and deal changes and objections.
