Our client is a firmly established industry leader, with strong category influence and a portfolio of iconic food brands boasting weighty consumer loyalty.

 With strong category influence across grocery multiple channels, as well and convenience, wholesale, discounter and export markets, they continue to drive profitable growth with ventures in to exciting new categories and strategic ‘intelligent’ acquisitions.

Following the successful integration of one of its more recent acquisitions, the company is looking to recruit a new National Account Controller to lead strategy and performance within UK grocery multiple channels.

Reporting directly to the board Sales Director, the position will be fully accountable for the overall financial performance of the grocery channel.  You will work closely with the Sales Director to devise and implement a rolling 3-year strategy to achieve growth of both branded initiatives as well as private label offerings, and will heavily impact upon overall company performance.

You will gain valuable cross-functional influence across NPD, category and brand marketing and it is therefore important that applicants are familiar with stakeholder management.  In this respect, exposure to private label manufacturing environments as well as brands may be advantageous when supporting your application.

As well as strong strategic capability it is imperative the successful candidate can demonstrate a successful record as a leader, with heavy emphasis around managing a number of direct reports of varying levels of seniority / experience.

Firmly established in their respective categories, but with heavy support and backing to drive ventures in to new category offerings, the business is looking to secure those able to bring ‘fresh ideas’ to the table who can inspire and excite.
