Intercontinental Brands (ICB) has been supplying the drinks trade since 1990. Today it supplies most of the UK’s leading retailers and wholesalers and has annual sales in excess of £40m. With a broad product portfolio including Pre Mixed Drinks, Speciality Drinks, Perry and Prosecco, all products in the range varying between 4% and 22% ABV. ICB’s key strategy is to be the UK’s leading provider of number one value alternatives to the major brands in each of the chosen categories.

Through its bottling plant in Middlesbrough, which employs around 95 production staff along with on-site Technologists, ICB has a strong emphasis on New Product Development and launches over 20 new lines per year. This is a key reason why ICB is seen as market leading in its field.. ICB now feels that the time is right to put in place the building blocks to realise future growth opportunities and as a result it now requires a Customer Marketing Executive.

As Customer Marketing Executive you will be responsible for the running of the day to day interactions with the field sales team (13), supporting their various customer specific marketing needs. You will also liaise with the external design agencies to provide a range of marketing outputs to be applied to customer specific situations, ranging from trade press, trade shows, exhibitions, to in bar/store/depot promotions. Your responsibilities will include supporting teams with Point of Sale (PoS), assisting with the preparation of presentations to prospective customers, preparation of agendas ahead of external meetings and contribution of ideas for improving marketing standards across customer facing outputs.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you must have experience of working within Marketing – this could be through a University placement or a specific role working for an agency or directly for a manufacturer. Drinks experience is not essential as applicants from all areas of marketing will be considered. It is however, of the utmost importance that you fit into the ICB culture – this would be through demonstrating that you have an entrepreneurial mind and are willing to get involved in all aspects of marketing and the business. This role offers a great opportunity for an individual to work as part of a team and develop their skills whilst working in a supportive environment .You must have strong communication skills and have a full understanding of Microsoft Office.
