Fresh Produce Buyer

We are currently working with one of the most recognisable fresh produce businesses in the country, who are currently seeking an experienced buyer to join their procurement team. If you have fruit buying experience and speak Spanish, then I want to hear from you

The role

• Procure and arrange transportation at the most efficient negotiated cost prices to fulfil customer orders
• Ensure continuity of supply 52 weeks per year
• Identify new growers / suppliers / varieties

The candidate

• Must have fresh produce buying experience, e.g. grapes, stonefruit, melons etc
• Good understanding of seasonal buying for multiple retailers
• Excellent understanding of supply chain sea and road freight.
• Must have drive, be able to build relationships, and be an experienced project manager
• Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of literacy and numeracy
• Good negotiation skills
• Business conversational and written Spanish is a must have
