Catman Jobs are currently recruiting a Category Manager for an FMCG food retailer in the North West.

The Business 

The term 'foodie' is almost derived from this business. They are extremely passionate about food - delivering quality and first class service. They have a key focus around selecting people to join their team who share the same passions and will enjoy their work. They are a privately owned retailer, who has always led in innovation, both in their food and their stores - creating many environmentally friendly features to further instill the sense of care which they deliver to their customers. This retailer currently has 29 stores with a total company revenue of around £300m. 

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and developing the Category Management process - supporting the Buying team in developing the sales and profitability across ALL categories. This will include: researching and defining market trends, delivering key consumer insights, supporting the forumlation of a range review strategy and presenting the business/market performance to major stakeholders within the business - making recommendations on how it can be improved. You will be giving strategic input into pricing, promotional and merchandising plans for each category based on the insights you gather.
