Job Details

Paul Nyman Consultancy are working with a global food group to recruit a home-based National Account Manager, with up to 2 days per week in the North West office to work on their Convenience Channel. 

The Business

This company is one of Europe’s leading food innovators, engaged in processing and marketing a full range of meat proteins in varied formats and presentations. Its success is founded on strong customer relationships developed through a partnership approach. They have a key focus on consumer insights, innovation, category and process investment and on food safety and quality. The Group comprises three strategic business units and this role falls into their Convenience Foods division. The group on a whole has a number of manufacturing facilities throughout Ireland and the UK, with sales offices in the key European and International markets.

The Role

Working within a team of 4 National Account Managers and reporting in to the Commercial Controller, this role has become vacant due to an internal promotion - which is a testament to the development that this business offers. You will be challenged with managing and developing customer relationships across all levels and functions, ensuring that annual business targets are achieved. You will have full P&L responsibility - amongst which you will manage the trader spend within an agreed busget, implement and adapt company strategy, analyse account performance to seek new opportunities and provide accurate forecasting back to the business.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have National Account Management experience, educated to degree level, be able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen and have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative and delivering results. Along with this, you you bring to the role passion and commitment - with ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment building open and honest relationships with key stakeholders at every level within the business.
