Here at PepsiCo we are looking for Category Managers to join our Head Office Customer Insights team (based near Reading). Our Category Managers are aligned with one of our core products (including Walkers, Quaker and Tropicana), and to either our Impulse business or one of our Grocery customers.
We're fortunate that we make some of the country's favourite grocery brands, and our customers (and consumers) expect them to be on their shelves. But that expectation presents its own challenges, and we're not really a "resting on our laurels" kind of place. There is plenty of market share to be had out there, so come and help us win it.
Distinguished by our energetic, determined people, our sales teams combine a strategic and consultative approach with incisive consumer data to help both PepsiCo and our customers flourish. Our Category Managers play a key role with our customers whereby they provide customer, category and shopper insight to support and build category relationships.
Job Requirements:
Business:
· Identify & clearly define the key category and customer risks / opportunities generating the relevant insight needed to resolve these
· Lead the category planning process across categories, highlighting growth opportunities and identifying business targets through category, shopper & market analysis
· Lead and own the delivery of the Category Team AOP for PepsiCo within a customer
· Strengthen existing category relationships and establish new senior wiring in our categories with the aim of moving PIUK towards indispensable partner status to drive category, customer & PI growth
· Lead key strategic projects
· Act as an integral partner to internal sales team by providing category and customer insight that helps shape strategies & tactics, including external / internal information strategy
People:
· Accountable for full data systems training of BU to minimise day to day requests
· Take on-point responsibility for specific NPD / Category projects and use data to help define the ultimate in-store vision for each activity /category
· Contribute to overall team agenda and vision cross channel & category
· Support line manager in building strategic agenda with your customer outside of core categories
Key Skills and Experience:
· Category and customer management experience is essential
· Strong analytical skills - the ability to synthesise and integrate learning from multiple sources and see the connections in data, trends and events to generate insights
· Strong presentation skills - be comfortable presenting internally / externally to all levels
· Listening & influencing - actively seek out and understand the input of others to gain broad alignment to ideas.
· Time management skills through multi-tasking and agenda prioritisation
· UK market experience
