Job Details
My client is a category leading branded food manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Senior Brand Manager for a 12 month interim maternity contract. You will join a dynamic team that is creating imaginative and innovative strategic marketing plans for the duration of the contract.
The Role:
- To protect and build the brand equity of the portfolio of brands in line with brand guidelines.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to set the strategic direction for the portfolio to achieve business and brand objectives through the development and implementation of consumer focused brand strategies.
- Identify and drive opportunities to grow sales and profitability of the brand portfolio.
- Develop and execute the annual brand plan.
- Manage the development and protection of brand positioning and consumer proposition.
- Track performance of the brand portfolio and competitors and formulate necessary action plans to deliver brand and commercial objectives.
- Lead and provide direction to cross functional teams (NPD, Sales, Trade Marketing and Category Management).
- Develop and execute consumer marketing initiatives using the appropriate media solutions to achieve communication objectives.
- Own the marketing expenditure budget.
- To develop and mentor an Assistant Brand Manager in order to maximise their potential.
The Requirements:
- A demonstrable track record as a Brand Manager or Senior Brand Manager within a branded FMCG business and experience of the major multiple retailers.
- Degree Education essential.
- Experience of all marketing communications mix including; TV, Press, PR and Promotions.
- Comfortable working with and directing external agencies.
- Data interpretation and analysis.
- Project management and leadership skills.
- A strong and confident communicator with attention to detail.
