Job Details
One of Britain's largest branded food producers is seeking a commercially savvy and tenacious Pricing & Promotions Controller to work within its Commercial Strategy & Planning Function.
In this central commercial role you'll be focussed on understanding and improving developments of pricing and promotional plans in order to deliver growth. A highly influential, confident and analytical individual, you'll lead the thinking and embedding with regards to pricing strategy, promotional efficiency and effectiveness principles.
Reporting to the Head of Revenue Growth Management, you'll also assume management for, and be charged with, the development of, one direct report.
Key responsibilities
- Incorporating industry best practice into the pricing and promotional principles by working with external agencies
- Leading in the creation of an appropriate pack, price and promotional architecture plan to maximise revenue growth
- Planning and implementing the annual cost increase to deliver at least £30m GSV growth each year
- Taking ownership of, and maintaining, the promotional guidelines with an annual spend of £140m
- Supporting and advising the IT Team on any system / process enhancements relating to the management of promotions.
What our client is looking for
You will be degree-educated, with commercial sales experience, significant understanding of customer channel requirements and full P&L awareness, alongside knowledge of best practice disciplines in pricing and promotions.
You will need good knowledge of IRI and Kantar and it would be desirable to have a background in marketing or category and an understanding of supply chains.
To succeed as Pricing & Promotions Controller you will also need to be highly organised and numerate and an excellent communicator. You'll be someone who thrives on challenge and has a very good understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
