MARKETING MANAGER 

To c.£45k plus benefits

Based : Surrey

My client is a highly successful International FMCG household goods manufacturer and clear brand leader in its category in several countries worldwide. Entrepreneurial, innovative and dynamic, it manufactures and markets a range of brands plus a limited range of own-label products for key retailers, many of whom are Category partners. The company is currently showing strong growth across all sectors with a clear strategy to build sales and distribution in both the UK and overseas markets via a network of distributor partners. The company is now looking for a Marketing Manager to help drive and promote their ambitious growth plans.

The Marketing Manager role will be responsible for developing and implementing consumer and trade initiatives and new product launches into both new and existing International markets to drive brand awareness, and ultimately sales. Working cross-functionally with Distributor partners, Country Managers, manufacturing and external marketing agencies, you will create and manage all marketing support strategies and activities (in each territory) which will include, for example, the USA, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland and Italy. Additionally, you will conduct consumer research/insight projects and ensure that all brand marketing communication and trade promotions are carried out effectively and within budget.

The role is based at the company’s offices in Surrey with a requirement for occasional overseas travel throughout the year.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate a minimum of c.5 years previous FMCG, consumer durables or household goods marketing experience in Brand or Trade Marketing together with a successful track record of achievement in managing all of the key elements of the marketing mix. Commercially aware, you will demonstrate excellent planning, project management and multi-tasking skills, combined with a “can do” attitude and strong team working ability. Previous International experience is preferred as is the possession of a second European language and digital marketing experience.
