Category Executive – Impulse. Market leading branded drinks business. Perfect role for a Junior Buyer or Category Analyst. £30,000 - £36,000 + bonus + package.

My client is a Global FMCG business with number 1 brands in their categories.

 

My client’s strategy is to drive frequency and penetration across key categories through a combination of sustained increases in marketing investment, insight-led innovation and promotional strategies.

THE ROLE 

 

As a Category Executive, you will work closely with the Category Controller & wider Category team within the Impulse channel team to:

  • Generate 1-3 Year Business Revenue Plans.
  • Generation of longer term revenue initiatives across the key levers of Price, Promotion, Pack, Mix & Customer Investment.
  • Develop the 1 year channel strategy for the business, optimising the way in which we bring our brands to market.
  • Lead the in year course correction & gap filling process of the business plan.
  • Tracking key performance metrics, identifying key issues and planning suitable solutions.

THE PERSON 

  • Knowledge of category management principles, ideal role for junior/assistant buyers and/or Account Execs with exposure to category management.
  • Good analytical skills, with excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • Good presentation & communication skills, with excellent working knowledge of Powerpoint
  • 1+ years commercial experience
  • From either food/drink manufacturing or data provider (e.g. IRI, Kantar, Nielsen)
  • Degree educated.
