The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer supplying the major multiples and branded food retail businesses with an amazing array of food products that capture fresh world food trends. Their diverse customer base and innovative food portfolio has seen them grow from strength to strength and due to internal promotions they are seeking an outstanding Commercial Manager to complement their dynamic team.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director you'll be responsible for a high profile customer who are a well-known branded food retailer and have a discerning consumer base, expecting exceptional products to match their foodie values and credentials.

You will be responsible for delivering the category strategy and the retail sales objective for your key account. You will build a solid working relationship with your customer, formulating and delivering tailored plans to drive this highly innovative food category forward. You’ll work closely with the NPD and Marketing teams and be able to use compelling consumer, category and customer insights to develop and present category strategies that will enhance your customer’s product portfolio. As well as the day to day account management responsibilities where you will ensure that financial KPI’s, sales, profit and margins are achieved, you will proactively seek new business opportunities and maintain the company’s position at the forefront of the market. 

The Person

We are looking for an experienced Commercial or Account Manager who has a natural talent for developing relationships, influencing stakeholders and maximising business opportunities within a growing food company. You’ll have previously worked in the food manufacturing industry, ideally within a complex category, where you have had proven successes with premium retail or food service customers and have delivered long and short term category strategies. You’ll also need to have first class customer management skills, a flair for engaging and persuading at all levels as well as being a skilled and confident negotiator.
