National Sales Manager

Fancy a change of climate? We are currently working on a very exciting opportunity to join the Premier Fruits Group, the largest fresh produce business in Australia, in order help them with their very exciting and transformational plans. They are looking for a National Sales Manager to join their Senior Management team and help them to further develop their customer and grower relationships. This includes major retailers, independents, foodservice and wholesalers. They are keen to bring in some European experience, to match the changing face of some of their major retail customers, but also to bring in new approaches.

The Role

• Managing the internal commercial team of Category and Account Managers, providing senior support and guidance as required
• Working closely with the Category Manager and growers, in order to improve efficiencies in the supply chain
• Head up the various key customer accounts (including major and independent retail and foodservice) ensuring the customer requirements are always met
• Key part of heading up emerging opportunities and working towards establishing them as primary customers in the future
• You will be responsible for setting and implementing the overall business strategy

The Candidate

• Will have extensive fresh produce experience having worked with the UK Supermarkets in a similarly senior commercial role
• Will ideally have had involvement and an empathy with growers
• Will have the ability to drive change and be able to manage this with respect and awareness of those around you
• Must have strong negotiation skills and understand how to get the best results out of potentially complicated scenarios
