Charles Saunders is a leading Food service and Disposable specialist, with a growing reputation and presence within the South West. Due to our expansion in the South West & Wales market, we are now seeking a New Business Development Manager to join our Field Sales team. This is a strategic role for the company and we are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious person to join our Sales team. This role is ideal for a business development manager or field sales executive; who is looking for an opportunity to lead from the front, with a passion and drive for delivering excellent results through the selling of high quality foods & disposables to food service clients and end users, specialising in bigger high quality accounts and contracts. 

Job Description:

To support the strategic direction of sales throughout the South West and South Wales within the Food Service sector. You will be responsible for developing and establishing new key accounts focus primarily on larger business in the public and private sector. 

• Ownership of the New Business Revenue & Profitability Targets for our business market sector
• Responsible for developing prospect pipeline, pipeline maintenance & forecasting/reporting activities 
• Understanding client needs, developing end-to-end solutions
• Preparing and delivering presentations to clients
• Negotiating/closing deals
• Managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation, Pricing to deal closure
• Lead generation and follow up’s via networking, cold calling, exhibitions, industry forums, etc 
• Managing key relationships and increasing product penetration within large accounts
• Drive profitable growth through new listings, increased distribution, new categories and better deals 
• Become an expert on our service offerings, understanding our strategy and priorities and feeding your knowledge into our Sales Team 

Person Specification:

The successful candidate will:
• Have relevant, demonstrable sales experience in the UK and an impressive proven track record of winning deals with large clients in food service sector. You will be expected to be able to hit the ground running, so strong existing relationships within the target industry are desirable. 
• You must have a consultative approach to business development and client acquisition, tailoring each sale with a personal touch, maximising sales. 
• You must have a passion for food and be knowledgeable about the industry. 
• The ideal candidate is likely to have good analytical skills & reasonable Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and focus.
• You’ll have the ability to maximise selling opportunities through customer needs analysis, with the resilience to keep going. 
• Locates in the South West. 
• Your capacity to allocate quality time and to interpret and act on data to achieve customer solutions will complement your grasp of profit management, negotiating skills and ability to organise and self-motivate.
